Life & Sea Mallorca is a Palma company that runs almost everything you can do on the water at the eastern side of the bay, with departures from S'Arenal and Can Pastilla, plus a base in Colònia de Sant Jordi for Cabrera. Our verdict: the best choice if you are staying in Playa de Palma or S'Arenal, with a good range and reasonable cancellation terms; from central Palma, other companies are cheaper and closer.
Verdict
3.8/ 5
Few companies in the bay offer so much in one place: a catamaran with a barbecue, dolphins with a sunrise departure, the only boat to Cabrera that leaves from the Bay of Palma, jet skis and parasailing. Free cancellation up to 24 h before is more flexible than Palma Cruises'. Against it: its dolphin trip costs €80 against the competitor's €49.50 online, paying by card online adds 2.5% and boarding in S'Arenal is not accessible.

Jet skis and parasailing: jet skis from €80 (25 minutes) and from €160 (55 minutes). The price is per jet ski, so two people on one cost €95, against €160 for two single jet skis. The passenger must be at least 12. Parasailing costs €65 per group of 2 or 3 people (you cannot fly solo): 10 minutes in the air, up to 50 m high, 1 h 15 in total, ages 10 and up and you must be able to swim.
What we like most is the 06:00 dolphin trip (bring a jacket) and the Cabrera excursion, the only one that leaves from the Bay of Palma and saves you driving to Colònia de Sant Jordi. What we like least: paying €40 for a 2-hour catamaran with no food when the 4-hour one with a barbecue costs €65.

Prices: direct or booking site
Life & Sea sells direct on lifeandsea.com, with a 2.5% surcharge for paying by card online. Children aged 3 to 12 pay half price on the catamarans.
On GetYourGuide there are listings leaving from S'Arenal with the same format and price as some of its trips, such as the sunset catamaran with a barbecue (€75). Booking sites do not always show the provider's name in the headline: check who runs the trip in the listing before you pay, and compare the site's cancellation policy with Life & Sea's 24 hours.

What to know before you book
The operator's website and terms include several points worth being clear about:
- The S'Arenal boarding point is on c/ Balneario, at the end of the beach next to the Club Nàutic S'Arenal (already in Llucmajor, not Palma). You reach it across the sand, through some gates, not through the club entrance. Arrive 15 minutes early and, if you are driving, park around Son Veri Nou.
- Can Pastilla is easier with children or bags: the yacht club entrance, Carrer de les Nanses 7, 5 minutes from the "Cala Estancia" stop on EMT buses 31, 32, 35 and A2.
- The skipper can refuse boarding for safety reasons: age, pregnancy, disability or build. If anyone in your group falls into one of those categories, ask before you pay.
- If the weather changes, the company can alter or cancel the trip "without compensation".
- Drinks: you cannot bring your own. One drink is included on the barbecue catamarans; the rest you pay for.
- Paddleboarding: not included on its catamarans. If you want it on board, see our comparison of boat trips.
About reviews: read recent ones for the specific trip you are interested in, because a company with so many products can score very differently on each.
How to book and cancel
- Choose the trip and departure point (S'Arenal or Can Pastilla) on lifeandsea.com.
- Pay online by card (plus 2.5%).
- Turn up 15 minutes early at the boarding point.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. For Cabrera, remember the trip lasts 9 hours and you get back around 18:15–18:30: do not book anything early that evening.
