Click-Mallorca: our review of the Alcúdia excursion agency

Click-Mallorca is a licensed Mallorcan agency, sound on the legal side and with some prices that match booking direct. But it is based in the north, and for trips from Palma there is almost always an option that costs the same or less.

If you are reading Click Mallorca reviews because its excursions popped up while you were planning your trip, the short answer is yes, it is a real, registered company. Click-Mallorca S.L.U. is an agency in Port d'Alcúdia, in the north of the island, holding a tourism intermediary licence from the Balearic government. Our verdict: legally sound, useful if you are staying in the north, and with little to offer in Palma that you cannot find for the same price or less elsewhere.

Who Click-Mallorca is

Click-Mallorca S.L.U. has its head office at Avenida de la Playa 13 in Port d'Alcúdia, is listed in the Palma Companies Register and works under tourism intermediary agency licence MT/89/BAL. The office is open 09:00–13:00 and 16:00–20:00, by phone (+34 971 897 067) and WhatsApp (+34 674 365 236).

Nofrills Excursions, another northern agency that mainly sells other companies' excursions, is registered at the same Port d'Alcúdia address. They are two separate brands, but it is worth knowing if you are comparing prices between them.

Click-Mallorca works mainly as an intermediary: it sells excursions run by boat companies and local firms, and organises some group trips of its own. It also publishes a very long blog about the island.

What it sells in and around Palma

Its boat catalogue covers the whole island, but it has little leaving from Palma and the bay:

  • One-hour boat trip around the Bay of Palma: €19 adults, €8 children aged 5 to 12, free up to 4. It includes a snack and water and leaves near the cathedral or the Paseo Marítimo. In October the last departure gets earlier as the month goes on.
  • Palma catamaran, 10:00 to 15:00: €80 adults, €72 children aged 6 to 12, with a buffet. Snorkelling gear costs €20 extra and the transfer €25.
  • Glass-bottom boat in Calvià: €30 adults, €20 children aged 3 to 10, 2 hours, departing Magaluf at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 with stops at Son Maties and Palmanova.
  • Catamaran from S'Arenal with a stop at Cala Vella and a barbecue: €65.

Everything else is a long way from Palma: dolphins from Alcúdia (€56 and €66), Formentor by boat and a trip to Dragonera (€20).

Prices: Click-Mallorca versus direct and the booking sites

Excursion Click-Mallorca Direct / alternative
1-hour boat trip around the Bay of Palma €19 (child €8) Sa Calma Boats' Marco Polo €19; GetYourGuide from €19
Palma catamaran with food €80 (child €72) Magic Catamarans €59 (child €29.50), with barbecue and drinks
Glass-bottom boat in Calvià €30 (child €20) Cruceros Costa de Calvià €30 (child €20)
Catamaran from S'Arenal with barbecue €65 Life & Sea, 4 h with barbecue, €65
Dolphins €56 / €66, from Alcúdia Palma Cruises €49.50 online, from the Paseo Marítimo

The picture is clear. The €19 boat and the glass-bottom boat cost the same as with the boat company. The €80 Palma catamaran is a good deal dearer than the Magic Catamarans day trip at €59, which also includes food and drinks and does not charge extra for snorkelling (it only asks for a €10 deposit). And to see dolphins from Palma, Palma Cruises is cheaper and you do not have to cross the island.

What travellers say

When we checked, Click-Mallorca had 3.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from just 27 reviews: 89% five-star and 11% one-star. With so few reviews, the average shifts a lot with every new one.

Two complaints come up repeatedly on Trustpilot: payments that get stuck and WhatsApp support that does not resolve much. For comparison, the big booking sites have tens of thousands of reviews: GetYourGuide 3.9 and Civitatis 4.5, for example.

How to book and cancel

  • Payment: in full on booking, by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal.
  • Cancellation: free up to 24 hours before, by email. After that there is no refund.
  • Bad weather: if the boat company cancels for safety or weather reasons, you choose a new date or a refund. Drizzle or a cloudy day does not entitle you to cancel.

Alternatives to Click-Mallorca

  • Short boat trip around Palma: the Marco Polo run by Sa Calma Boats, 55 minutes from the Escala Real below the cathedral, €19, Monday to Saturday.
  • Catamaran with food: Magic Catamarans or Life & Sea.
  • Big booking sites: GetYourGuide for the widest choice in the bay, and Civitatis if you prefer everything in Spanish.
  • Another local agency: sunbonoo, with an office on Palma's Paseo Marítimo and aimed at German-speaking travellers.

All the boat trips from the city are in our guide to boat trips in Palma, and the other companies we review are in operators and booking sites in Palma.
