GetYourGuide or Tiqets? For Palma tickets the short answer is that price hardly ever decides it: on 11 of the 14 tickets both sell, GetYourGuide and Tiqets charge exactly the same. The real differences lie elsewhere: the official website is sometimes cheaper than both, Headout adds a fee at the end, and what happens if you cancel varies.

Below is the table of every ticket sold on more than one platform, with the official price where the site publishes one. After that we explain how to read it, how the three platforms differ and when to skip them and go to the ticket desk. If you're after the official prices of everything ticketed in Palma, they're in the tickets guide.

Each row is the same ticket (same site, same type of entry) on each platform. The "Official" column is what it costs on the site's own website or ticket desk for one adult. The last column shows the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive option. All prices are "from", per adult and in euros; the platforms adjust them often, so the figure you see at checkout is what counts.

What the table shows: where to find the cheapest tickets in Palma

Ties almost across the board. Palma Aquarium (€30.50), the Coves de Gènova (€12), Fundació Miró (€10), Marineland (€32), the Alfabia gardens (€10), the Campanet caves (€17), the sightseeing bus (€27) and the hammam (€68) cost the same on every platform that sells them. For the aquarium, the Miró, Gènova and Marineland, that's also the same as the official website.

The official website is the cheapest, or ties with the cheapest, in these cases:

  • Cathedral: €10 official against €11 on GetYourGuide and Tiqets and €15 on Headout.
  • Almudaina: €8 from Patrimonio Nacional against €9.50 on Tiqets and €11 on GetYourGuide.
  • Katmandu Park: from €31 on its website against €33 on all three platforms.
  • Western Water Park: €36 buying online on its website against €38 on the platforms (€38 is also the gate price).
  • Rafa Nadal Museum: €20 official, the same as GetYourGuide and Headout, but Tiqets charges from €25.

Where Headout looks cheaper, read the small print. The Coves dels Hams appear at €18 on Headout against €18.50 on GetYourGuide and the official website, and the Drach excursion from Palma at €48.60 against €54. Headout adds a service fee at checkout, so the difference can vanish on the last screen. Always compare the total.

Flamenco is the one case where you're comparing slightly different things: Tablao Flamenco Alma is from €35 on GetYourGuide and from €40 on Tiqets, which includes a drink. Before choosing, check which seating area and which drink each one includes.

GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout: how they differ

All three are intermediaries: they sell a ticket or trip run by someone else, who is the one opening the door or skippering the boat. What changes is the company you contract with and its rules.

GetYourGuide has the most products in Palma and is the only one with "reserve now, pay later". It also has a best-price guarantee: if you find the same activity, from the same provider and on the same terms, cheaper elsewhere, it refunds the difference. Its Trustpilot score was the lowest of the three when we checked (3.9); recurring complaints concern provider cancellations, unclear meeting points and unexpected charges, and the praise is for the guides and the app. More in our GetYourGuide review.

Tiqets focuses on museum and attraction tickets, and in Mallorca sells around 45 products, boats included. Its cathedral ticket is one of the most reviewed on the island (4.6 from more than 4,200). Cancellation depends on each product: if the listing doesn't say you can cancel, you can't. Details in the Tiqets review.

Headout sells far more than the sightseeing bus: the cathedral (with a terraces option), Hams, the Rafa Nadal Museum, Marineland, Katmandu, Western Water Park and Drach excursions. Its weak point is the service fee at the end of checkout; its strong point on Trustpilot is that it answers almost every complaint within 24 hours. More in the Headout review.

Cancellation, pay later and fees: what really changes

This is where the platforms part ways, and where it's sometimes worth paying a euro more.

Cancelling. On GetYourGuide the general rule is a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours ahead; inside that window, or if you don't show up, there's no refund unless the listing says otherwise. If the provider cancels because of bad weather, you get your money back. On Tiqets and Headout it depends on each product and provider. And on Headout the refund may come as credit to spend on the platform itself: if you're given the choice, ask for a refund to your card.

Paying later. GetYourGuide's "reserve now, pay later" option only works with a card and charges nothing when you book, but it takes the full amount 72 hours before the activity, not 24. If the charge fails you have 47 hours to pay manually; otherwise the booking cancels itself. If your card expires or is near its limit around then, you lose it.

Fees. Headout adds a service fee at the end; GetYourGuide and Tiqets show the final price from the start.

Languages and support. For a ticket, the language is set by the site, not the platform: the sightseeing bus has audio in 8 languages, the Coves de Gènova use an audio guide on your phone and at Drach the visit isn't guided (there are leaflets in nine languages). The platform only changes the language of the website and the customer service. GetYourGuide answers through its help centre, phone, chat and email, usually within 24 hours; Tiqets has a 24-hour help centre.

When the official ticket desk is cheaper

Buy direct without much thought in these cases:

  • When there's a discount that only exists at the desk. Children aged 9 or under and residents at the cathedral; residents and seniors at Hams; large families and disability at Marineland and Western Water Park. On a platform you pay the standard rate.
  • When the site has a free day or time slot. The Almudaina on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons for EU and Ibero-American citizens; Bellver on Sundays; the Miró on Saturdays from 15:00. No platform sells "free".
  • When the official website has its own offer. Palma Aquarium is 15% cheaper if you enter after 14:00 (promotion valid until 31 October); Western Water Park costs €2 less online on its website; the Sóller train has a €32 train + tram offer only on its website and only at certain times.
  • When the family pack is only sold there. Marineland (2 + 2 for €90, only on its website) and the Rafa Nadal Museum (family pack at the ticket desk only).
  • When the ticket is cheap and queue-free. Bellver (€4) and the Banys Àrabs (€3.50, cash only) have no official online sales and no queues to skip: you pay at the door.

And use a platform when you want free cancellation up to the day before, all your tickets in one app or to pay later. For the Caves of Drach from Palma, the coach excursion saves you the TIB 401 bus and the risk of missing your slot; it costs €54 both on GetYourGuide and with the agency that runs it.

The old town tickets (cathedral, Almudaina) are a few minutes' walk from each other. Gènova, the tablao and the hammam are also within Palma. The aquarium is at Playa de Palma (EMT 35 from Plaça de la Reina). Marineland, Katmandu and Western Water Park are in Calvià, to the west; Hams, Drach and the Nadal museum are around Manacor and Porto Cristo, an hour's drive away.

How we check the prices

We check the "from" price in euros on each listing on GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout, for one adult, and cross-check it with the rate published on each site's official website. The date of the last check appears under each table.

Three limits worth knowing:

  • These are starting prices. A time slot, a language or an extra (audio guide, terraces, a drink) can push them up.
  • Headout's service fee isn't included, because it only appears at checkout.
  • We compare like with like. If a platform sells a combo (cathedral + Almudaina, bus + boat), we don't mix it with the single ticket.

Where the site doesn't publish a fixed price (the hammam or the tablao, which vary by day and time) we leave the official column empty rather than invent a figure. And if a platform doesn't sell a ticket, you'll see a dash.

We earn a commission if you book through our GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Headout links; it costs you nothing extra. That's exactly why we tell you when the ticket desk is cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

GetYourGuide vs Tiqets: which is cheaper in Palma?

They almost always cost the same: for the cathedral (€11), the aquarium (€30.50), Gènova, the Miró or Marineland the price is identical. Tiqets is cheaper for the Almudaina (€9.50 against €11) and dearer for the Rafa Nadal Museum (€25 against €20).

Is it safe to buy from Tiqets or GetYourGuide?

They're companies registered in the Netherlands and Germany that act as intermediaries for the site you're visiting. On Trustpilot, when we checked, Tiqets had 4.3 and GetYourGuide 3.9. The most frequent complaints relate to provider cancellations, meeting points and refunds.

Where are the cheapest tickets in Palma de Mallorca?

Often on the official website: the cathedral costs €10, the Almudaina €8, Katmandu from €31 and Western Water Park €36 online. On top of that, discounts for children, residents or large families exist only at the desk, as do free days such as Sunday at Bellver.

Does Headout charge a fee?

Yes. Headout adds a service fee on the last checkout screen, so its starting price can end up above GetYourGuide's or Tiqets'. Compare the final total.

When does GetYourGuide charge me if I choose to pay later?

72 hours before the activity, by card. If the charge fails you have 47 hours to pay; otherwise the booking is cancelled.

Can I cancel a ticket bought on a platform?

On GetYourGuide, as a general rule, free of charge up to 24 hours before unless the listing says otherwise. On Tiqets and Headout it depends on each product. Official tickets for the cathedral, Drach, the Sóller train and the Nadal museum are non-refundable.
