Buying on the official Palma Aquarium website: our verdict, prices and discounts

Palma Aquarium's official website sells tickets at the same price as the platforms (€30.50), but it is the only one with an afternoon discount, a resident fare and an annual pass. Its weak spot: it does not explain clearly what happens if you need to cancel.

Buying direct on the Palma Aquarium website is the best option if you are going in the afternoon, if you live in the Balearic Islands or if you plan to come back; for a normal morning visit, it does not matter where you buy, because the price is the same and the platforms may give you more flexibility to cancel.

Pros

  • The only way to get the afternoon discount (from €26).
  • Balearic resident fare, a third cheaper.
  • Annual Ocean Pass that costs about the same as two visits.
  • The shark dive includes entry for the diver and one companion.

Cons

  • Does not make clear what happens if you cancel.
  • Shark Vision Boat, Backstage or virtual reality: no price until you book.
  • No transfers with a visible price, unlike the platforms.

Who is behind Palma Aquarium

Palma Aquarium is a private company, Palma de Mallorca Aquarium S.A., based at the aquarium itself in Playa de Palma (phone +34 971 746 104). It opened in June 2007, has a marine conservation foundation and is known for breeding corals in its tropical seas area. Its website, palmaaquarium.com, and its online shop, tickets.palmaaquarium.com, are the official channels.

What it sells direct:

  • General admission: all seven habitats, including the Big Blue, one of the deepest shark tanks in Europe (8.5 m), plus the family activities, Art Aquarium and the Ocean Play indoor playground.
  • Admission + Aquadome 3D cinema: from €34.
  • Shark dive: €210 without a diving qualification and €186 with one, over-18s only.
  • Sleeping with sharks: €54 per child aged 6 to 12.
  • Ocean Pass (annual) and a ticket-with-transport option whose price only shows when you book.

For the visit itself (what to see, how to get there on the EMT 35, what time to go), see our Palma Aquarium guide.

Adult price, checked on 6 October 2026. Platforms change prices daily: confirm before you pay.

General admission costs €30.50 on the official website, on GetYourGuide, on Tiqets and on Civitatis too. No platform is cheaper than the aquarium, or the other way round, except in these cases:

  • In the afternoon, the official website wins. From 14:00 there is 15 % off (from €26) until 31 October. The platforms do not apply it. Check the website to see whether it is extended.
  • If you are a Balearic resident, only the official website and the ticket office apply the reduced fare. Bring proof.
  • If you will come back, the Ocean Pass (€62 adult, €47 child, €207 family of 2 + 2) costs about the same as two visits (it pays off from the third) and gives 20 % off to up to four companions.
  • If you are staying far away, the platforms win: GetYourGuide sells the ticket with transfer from €34.50 and Tiqets has transfers from Calvià (€34.50) and from the north or east (€49.50).
  • The shark dive costs €210 on all three, and the aquarium includes entry for the diver and one companion.

The website does not publish a different price for the ticket office. Buying online guarantees the slot you want, which matters on rainy days, when the aquarium is the plan for many families.

What travellers say

On the platforms, the standard ticket rates well with plenty of reviews: 4.5 out of 5 from about 3,700 reviews on GetYourGuide and 4.4 from almost 1,500 on Tiqets. The shark dive has the highest rating in the aquarium's whole range (5 out of 5), though from few reviews.

Before you buy, set your expectations: the aquarium has no dolphins (that is Marineland, in Calvià). And the price for a family, €100 for two adults and two children, adds up: the afternoon fare and the annual pass are the aquarium's own answer to that.

How to book and what happens if you cancel

How to buy on the official website

  1. Go to the official shop, tickets.palmaaquarium.com, linked from palmaaquarium.com.
  2. Choose a date and slot. The ticket is valid for 30 minutes from the time you choose.
  3. For the afternoon discount, choose a slot from 14:00 (until 31 October).
  4. Add extras if you want (3D cinema, dive) and pay.
  5. Arrive before your slot ends: last entry is at 17:00.

Cancellation: the refund terms for tickets bought on the official website are not clearly shown on the sales pages. Before paying, read them at the last step of checkout or ask the aquarium. If you need flexibility, the platforms have clearer rules: on GetYourGuide the general rule is a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours ahead, unless the listing says otherwise; on Tiqets, only if the product listing allows it.

Shark dive: the aquarium does not refund you if you do not meet the conditions (over 18, a diving medical certificate from the last 12 months, no flying 12 hours before or after). It also depends on the weather and the condition of the animals. Check the requirements before paying.

At the aquarium: the lockers only take cards.
